Winter Workshop - January 23, 2026
MUSIC MOMENT
Summer is here and music that depicts the season can have a very different tone to it than the coolness of winter or the brightness of Spring. I chose Harlem Nocture, by Duke Ellington, as the summer piece because it gives off the energy of long, warm summer nights.
This has always been a favorite piece of mine and I'm happy to share it with you!

25 years ago I fell into teaching piano accidentally - I needed extra income and had a skill. I had not been a good piano student (God bless the 3 teachers I had from ages 7-18). However, I began teaching and quickly fell in love with it! Getting to be an educator in the arts has become one of the greatest joys of my life.
